Katie and David go in depth on some of the most common feedback topics including iOS writing workflows, Evernote, syncing, file storage and sharing techniques, and Katie’s home server.

Great episode, as usual.
When you spoke about Dropbox’s Camera Upload feature, I believe one of y’all questioned what Dropbox offers beyond what Photostream offers… The answer is this: Video.
As far as I know, Apple doesn’t provide a free way for someone to get videos off their iPhone camera roll wirelessly. Dropbox’s Camera Upload feature will do that…. (Or at least that’s why I use it… someone let me know if I’m overlooking an easier way!)
Thanks!
I love the show notes, but would love a little more info on them (as well as completeness – such as Writeroom was missing from this show notes).
I often listen to this great podcast or while household chores around the house. Neither of these is great for capturing or holding on to the great snippets, particularly suggested or mentioned apps, sites, and services.
What I would love is who mentioned the app, site, or service and whether it was a positive, neutral, or not so helpful notation (up arrowhead, dash, and down arrowhead) and initial of who feels this way: D (David), K (Katie), or G (guest).
In this wonderful podcast Simplenote was mentioned by David, but was not a recommend as it once was in the past, but Writeroom was. Looking at this postcast notes I just see SimpleNote and not Writeroom.
So this week would include Simplenote D ↓
The TextExpander to Evernote Snippet link is broken. Could you please give the correct link? Thanks.
First, of course, I love the podcasts since I’ve recently become a Mac-convert and within the last month, I’ve completed the trifacta with the addition of a iPad and iPhone.
So, I’ve come to trust many of your app choices and and have purchased 1Password for iOS but have yet to jump to the Mac version since I still have an active LastPass subscription. While listening to the Feedback Show you’d mentioned that 1Password has jumped to ver 4 but on their website they still are only offering ver 3. Did you jump the gun or am I missing something?
Thanks,
~Jack
They’re on version 4 for the iOS App and is a new purchase and totally new App from Version 3 for iOS. Version 4 for Mac is coming soon. If you purchase version 3 through the Mac App Store you’ll get a free upgrade to v. 4.
Hey… the TextExpander to Evernote Snippet link doesn’t work. Thought you’d want to know.
First of all: thanks a lot for your podcast! I enjoy it immensely!!
I have one question about DayOne:
Reading the posts form the iTunes store there’s a big problem with app stability. What are your experiences? Can I safely buy and use the app?
Just wanted to know. Keep up the good work!!
Never had a problem
TextExpander to Evernote link is fixed. The correct link is: http://smile.clarify-it.com/d/ma4fx3
Hi. Just catching up with the show and wanted to mention that the email client Postbox has a super-easy way of getting emails into Evernote. All you do is call up the contextual menu while in the message and choose Add to Evernote. You can choose then and there which Evernote folder to send it to. So no mucking about with email forwards or TextExpander snippets or Inboxes afterwards. Just that and it’s done.
I don’t know whether you can do this in Apple Mail or not. But Postbox has several of these neat tricks. Worth looking at.
PS re Evernote and Postbox – there’s also an Evernote extension button to put in the Postbox toolbar to clip emails. So perhaps there’s one for Apple Mail, too.
